This Lady in Red Tapestry Choker is the first in a series of chokers that I plan on doing in different colors & media. I’m calling this my Tapestry Series because I’m designing them to resemble hanging tapestries. The only difference is, instead of adorning walls, they adorn you! All of the tapestry chokers are created using a hand stitched bead weaving technique called right angle weave (RAW). This series is also available as necklaces. Commissions are welcome.

The chokers on this page are all hand stitched using an off-loom bead weaving technique called embellished right angle weave. It's called right angle weave because beads are sewn together at right angles to one another. One of my favorite techniques. I particularly enjoy the intricacy & challenges associated with tiny seed beads, needles & different beading threads.
