On this gallery page you will find some of my hand tooled leather art pendant necklaces. I've absolutely fallen in love with leather as a medium. The possibilities are endless. I look forward to producing more of these. I like to use leather in combination with other media such as paua shell, abalone, beads & gemstones. In addition, my plan is to produce more of the Hebrew letter pendants. Hebrew is near & dear to my heart for many reasons. The year we spent living in Jerusalem changed my life forever. My Hebrew letter pendants are a celebration of the beauty, mystery & wisdom found within the Bible & Hebrew alphabet.
Leathercraft: My leather art pendants are hand tooled, carved, painted, dyed & sealed for protection. I use Eco-Flo water based dyes that have a low V.O.C. (eco-friendly). Acrylic paints are used on all my leather pendants that have hand painted detailing. 3Fine DesignŽ Online Store @ Ecrater |
Let it Snow Necklace A beautiful snowflake obsidian cabochon on hand tooled leather that's been dyed black. Snowflake obsidian is a very shiny natural volcanic glass. The leather has also been sealed & protected with a high gloss sealant. The pendant is 6.5cm from the top of the bail to the bottom & 4.5cm across. Santa Fe Sunrise Necklace This is a hand tooled leather pendant necklace that's been given an "earthy" texture, dyed & sealed with a high gloss protective sealant. A gorgeous yellow New Zealand paua shell cabochon serves as the focal. Hebrew Letter "TET" Pendant Necklace A celebration of the beauty, mystery & wisdom found in the Hebrew alphabet. The Tet is the 9th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. This is a hand tooled leather pendant with an embossed (hand carved) Hebrew letter "Tet" as the focal surrounded by an earthy textured background. The leather has been dyed & sealed with a protective sealant. A single jade colored porcelain bead graces the top. The pendant is 8cm in diameter & is suspended from a dark brown leather necklace cord with an adjustable slipknot that fits over the head.
